About us
One destination, one voice
Macugnaga Booking is the online booking portal for authentic experiences at the foot of Monte Rosa: hikes, wellness, Walser culture, outdoor and ideas for famiglie e weekend — within reach of Milan, Lake Maggiore and the cities of the plain.
The project is conceived and developed by Lem s.r.l. per Unione Montana Valli dell’Ossola — Piedmont Region, within FOSMIT · Fondo Sviluppo Montagne Italiane, together with local operators.
The goal is to overcome fragmented offer: connecting activities, facilities and local resources in a coordinated, digital and replicable model for sustainable, slow and experiential tourism.
How it started
From the territory to the portal
A path built with operators, not from a desk.
Experiences catalogue
Building a single catalogue with complete sheets: description, images, duration, logistics, price and booking tips.
Booking engine
Activating the online booking system: date search, secure payment and instant confirmation with guides’ direct contacts.
Promotion
Coordinated communication around the destination: digital content, materials for operators and showcasing experiences on the portal.
Sharing
The booking widget, wherever you need it
Hotels, mountain huts, tourism portals and other partners can embed the same booking engine on their site without creating competing portals. The catalogue stays updated in one place; booking flows can be tracked by referral channel.

Next steps
Future developments
The portal is designed to grow with the territory. Planned workstreams include:
- adding new activities and offers from municipalities in the Unione Montana when they meet the required standards;
- greater self-management for operators and local contacts;
- collaboration with the tourist office to strengthen local information and promotion.
